About

Hey, I'm Nicholas Alviar, but most people call me nick... cool nickname right. I'm currently an undergraduate student at Rutgers University studying marketing and BAIT (Business Analytics and Information Technology).

At first glance I probably look like your typical filipino college boy who always takes pictures of his food before eating it, only goes to New York City to see the Supreme store, and spends way too much money on shoes and clothes. While some of this rains true, I'd like to believe I possess a little bit more substance than that.

I'm a very outgoing and personable person who enjoys to make the most out of any opportunity presented to me. I remember as a young kid in elementary school I would always seek out and talk to different students and try to become friends with everyone. Most of the times the other kids brushed me off because I was always the short asian boy with the glasses and bowl haircut in my class, but I'd like to think I've "glo'd up" since then. That same mindset of learning and making connections has definitely carried on to my present life and it has helped me meet some of my best friends in college and overall adjust to the change in scenery that college presents.

I love experiencing new things, meeting new people, and making connections and friendships that'll last a lifetime. I live life with the mindset that there is always something new I can learn and that is why I love people so much. I love sharing my ideas and listening to ideas that other individuals are passionate about. I love creating and collaborating with others who share similar passions as me. I like being that different, quirky individual because I want to stand out. I want to go against the grain of what the norms of society are and make an impact on myself and on the people around me. Whether it be fashion, music, education, whatever the case may be I want to share my passions and hobbies with the world to hopefully make a positive impact on someone.

As a person who is still growing and learning in this big world I believe it is my duty to take in all the information I can and learn as much as I can from different experiences and people who I come across. I am here to grow and inspire and with this blog I hope you are able to take something away form it and use it to inspire as well.
